It was very good to have some explanations from lecturer, Mr. Prast, on Set Induction and Set Closure Skills, Explaining and Stimulus – Variation Skills, Questioning Skills, and Reinforcement. Then the lecturer attracted our attentions to put only on the Set Induction and Set Closure Skills. This was meant to help us prepare ourselves for the teaching practice on the following day, Wednesday, 22 February 2012.
My impression on what happened in the previous class was that everybody had a good preparation, yet few of us have to do it seriously so that they can perform well in the future.
The most things I learned on last Tuesday and Wednesday were:
*. A good preparation makes a teacher master teaching materials she/he wants to teach.
*. Mastering teaching material makes the teacher feel confident; not nervous.
Things I have achieved:
As I knew and mastered the subject I wanted to teach (describing thing using simple present tense) I did it confidently without feeling nervous.
